Week One:
June 16 –
June 20, 2008: Circus
Arts
K-8
$200
Big-Top fun at BCS!
This class will allow the children to “run away and join the
circus without packing a suitcase.”
Children will learn the basic skills of juggling, tumbling,
clowning, partner acrobatics, stilt walking, and more.
Children who have already attended Circus classes will be
challenged and brought to a new level!
The class will be taught by veteran Ringling Bros. and Barnum
& Bailey Circus performer and owner of Circus Theatricks, Sean Fagan
who has been entertaining and teaching children of all ages for ten
years. 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. After and before care is available from 8:00
to 9:00 and 3:00 to 5:30 for an additional cost.
Week two:
June 23 –
June 27, 2008: Summer
Sports K-8
$175
Campers will join forces to have fun in
a variety of different sports, with an emphasis on learning basic
skills, having fun, and team building, rather than competition.
This is an excellent chance to learn to communicate and work as a
team. Try out some different
sports before playing for an organized or competitive team, or just to
have some summertime fun. Sports
will be selected for interest and ability and may include soccer,
kickball, wiffle ball, basketball, flag (not tackle) football and much
more!

Three:
June
30 – July 4, 2008 : (Mon-Thurs)
The Magical Mystery Tour
K-8

“The Magical Mystery Tour is waiting
to take you away...” Part music, part magic and a some mystery in a
Nancy Drew Hardy Boys kind of way. A little of everything in an
old-fashioned camp with plenty of fun, games and activities to keep us
all in it together from sun up to sun down.
Week
Four:
July 7- July 11, 2008:
Outdoor Adventure Detective Camp
K-8
$175
During this week, we will explore
nature, challenge ourselves with adventure games, and also learn some
detective skills. Activities
in this week might include tracking animals and people, learning how to
fingerprint, learning to work together as a team to solve challenging
physical and mental puzzles, and much more.
Each day will conclude by solving a daily mystery or crime.
Follow the clues for suspense and fun!
Week
Five:
July 14 – July 18, 2008: Mad
Science
K-8
$175
Create,
discover and celebrate the world of science with a week-long
extravaganza of experiments. Use simple scientific projects to
understand complex scientific principles and learn about the amazing
world of chemical reactions. Age appropriate activities will allow
students to explore the scientific world in a fun, safe and interesting
way and learn how to design their own research projects by unlocking
their inner scientist.

July 21 –

Seven:
July 28 – August 1, 2008: Eco-Crafts
Camp
K-8

Explore art
through many mediums using all the best resources nature has to offer
and in doing what is good for the planet! Recycled projects, batik, and
paper maché and many other projects that will be geared to challenge
and entertain kids of varying ages.
Stimulate your knowledge of earth friendly craft practices and
come and create some masterpieces for your own collection.
Week
Eight:
August 4 - August 8, 2008: Dance! Dance! Dance!
K-8 $175
Get
up and Dance in this energetic explosion of creativity and imagination.
Bring your best moves and put them to the test when you create your own
dance routines in a fun atmosphere. Combined with some classic dance
moves, some traditional dances and getting good tunes to back it all up,
it’s bound to be a blast. Get your dance shoes on!
Week
Nine:
August
11– August 15, 2008:
Healthy Cooking for Kids
K-8
$175
In
this program we will explore the joy of cooking kid-friendly concoctions
that are not only fun, but healthy and delicious. We will also
turn everyday basics, such as setting the table, into play. Sample
menu ideas include monster sandwiches, homemade popsicles, summer thirst
quenchers, tossed salads and fruit salads as well as other creative,
tasty treats your child can create themselves.

Ten: August
18
– August 22,
2008:
Mind Stretchers
K-8
$175
Get
your brain really sizzling in the summer with a week of mind challenges,
problem solving conundrums and mental puzzles aimed at making the gray
matter grow. Using critical thinking frameworks and learning new
approaches to solving problems, students will be guided through a
mini-Odyssey of the Mind, designed to integrate all academic disciplines
in a team-work problem solving challenge, culminating in a performance
of the “solution”.

Eleven: August
25 – August
29,
2008:
International
Passport
K-8
$175
Travel
around the globe without leaving BCS! The International Passport will
take students on a detailed journey though four different countries,
culminating in a mini-United Nations meeting on the final day of camp.
Students will learn about four separate cultures through arts and
crafts, food, history and language, immersing themselves in a different
culture each day, traversing the globe as the week goes by.
**All
camps are 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. unless otherwise stated. After and
before care are available for additional cost. All instructors are
screened by
Bethlehem
Children’s School.
Earliest drop-off 8 a.m. Last Pick up 5:30 p.m.
